So my tummy is rumbly and around the clock, I feel as if at any given moment, I might toss these cookies on passers by. Add to that, the fact that this morning I woke up and the already oversized hills that reside on my chest seemed to have doubled in size and there you have it. It's official. I am pregnant. Not that there was any doubt after 7-10 tests, a missed period and exhaustion that no man could bear. So you are wondering why 7-10 tests? I was convinced we were done having children and did not believe I could actually be pregnant. So like any smart person, I took test after test after test (to the tune of about $53) until finally it hit me- you can't really get a false positive.... So then I resigned myself to the fact that I was, in fact, having another baby.
So after the shock wore off, the symptoms kicked in and that is where I am now- sick as a dog, bloated as a whale, and exhausted. Seriously- is it naptime yet? The past week has been one long naptime for me, or so I feel like. We woke up on Christmas to a broken heater and a freezing house. So I cuddled up with THE HOTTIE (that's the pet name I have assigned my oh-so-hot-husband) and the kids and we wathced movies and played games. Christmas day and the few days that followed must have been when that exhaustion kicked in because I took at least a three hour nap every day of the break. Last night we went to bed aroun 8:30, woke up today at 5:30 and felt like I hadn't slept more than five minutes.
So, here it comes. Those 4-8 weeks of being so tired you can't function. This is the part where I sit and stare at my computer screen to the point of drooling on myself. Now is the time when my body is working overtime making this little life and in the mean time, is sucking all of my life out of me. Yesterday I noted that I want to work out so badly but cannot seem to find the energy hidden anywhere so I guess those workouts will have to wait. Oh well. This is my fourth time around the bin. I say bring it on! I know that after this comes the energy spurts from Heaven. After this time, you will most likely see me at the local YMCA or on my hands and knees scrubbing my floors until they shine. After this time, the fun begins.
Until then... it's naptime. (yawn)
