So I decided that since I was feeling like absolute crapola, I would try working out. That, and I had already gained so much weight- at only 8 weeks into the pregnancy. So I went Monday. I felt a little better. I went Tuesday and pushed myself probably a little too hard. I went today and wow... my attitude had done a 180. I still feel nauseated but it's not bothering me like it has been. I feel amazing and can't wait for my next workout (and if you know me, you know this is SO NOT LIKE ME). :) I am loving this new discovery.
Granted, I am only three days into this trial but I have a friend who is pushing me (mostly because she's tired of hearing me whine about how big I am). But I think with the right encouragement and the right self-motivation, I can be maternity swimsuit ready by June.
Did I just say that??? I am sooooooooo excited! The thought of me being happy with the way I look at 8 months pregnant was not even in my potential realm of thoughts for any of my past pregnancies. But this time, I realize I have real, attainable goals and I have the right tools to accomplish them. So only I can stop me now! :)
So I will say this out loud (or in black and white). My goal with this pregnancy is to either maintain my current weight throughout the duration of the pregnancy or to lose 10-20 pounds by the end of the pregnancy so that when I deliver I am in the best shape I have been in, in years! Possible? Completely. I will be much healthier. The baby will be much healthier. Everyone will benefit form this life change!
So look out world, I'm on a mission!

More Fun With the Bun in the Oven
So I have no idea how far along I am at this point. One website says 7 weeks, one website says 9- who knows for sure? I know my doctor will know once I finally get that appointment but in the mean time I am still sick sick sick! I keep running through different scenarios in my mind of what could be causing all of this sickness but I know most likely it's just a really healthy baby. My last child was very healthy and weighed in at a strapping 10 pounds, 2 ounces (two weeks early!) As long as this child is not that big, I'm great with hanging in there through the morning sickness for a few more weeks.
Last night, however- that was no morning sickness. Every once in a while, I have too much fiber or fruit or milk and my tummy get upset but last night was one of the worst bouts with diarrhea I have ever had! I was literally in the bathroom for over three hours. I was finally able to see a light at the end of the tunnel close to 10:00p.m. when I crawled in to bed and didn't move until the middle of the night trip to the bathroom (something I will surely not miss when I am done). But I was so sick I couldn't even function. My stomach can be so sensitive sometimes. I can remember how afraid I was the first time I got sick with one of my pregnancies. I remember thinking that I was going to eliminate the baby by going to the bathroom so much. I was 100% convinced that the baby was coming out a couple of times, but alas... they did not, so we were safe.
And now, I get to experience this all over again. But all of this upset tummy, etc makes me wonder if there might be two babies in there? Hmmm... . I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Gag a maggot
So yes... I want to toss my cookies- again. I cannot seem to shake the ever-present feeling that I want to hurl. I have tried all of the tips and tricks and nothing seem to be working for me. Ah, well. They say all of this sickness is a good sign. I think "they" are all mental and I think this sickness SUCKS! But I will conduct myself peacefully for the next few weeks until it subsides. :) Then in about eight months, I will have another little one to love and to care for and this sickness I am now feeling will be long forgotten. :)
In the mean time... pass the carbs, please!
